Monday Night Packet Check In

 

PacForms use is encouraged, but not required.

Check-In

To check in on the packet net:

1.      Connect to the backbone node assigned to your city or agency. 

(See http://www.scc-ares-races.org/freqs/packet-freqs.html for backbone node frequencies and assignments):

a.      W6XSC-3 located in Mountain View:  144.310 or 223.540 MHz

b.      W6XSC-1 located in San Jose:  144.990 or 223.620 MHz

2.      Send a message addressed to PKTMON

3.      Please state your name, call sign, city and method of contact - direct or digipeat (please name the digipeater)

The Monday Packet net will close at the opening of the SPECS Voice Net at 2000 hrs local time.

Check-In Results Bulletins
The weekly check-in results are posted as bulletins in the “30day” bulletin area of all backbone nodes. To receive these bulletins, consult the “Standard Outpost Configuration Instructions” located at http://scc-ares-races.org/packet.html to set up your system to receive the standard county bulletin areas. Receiving the bulletin message is NOT a condition of accepted check-in.
